The Artists

I have always been fascinated by nature, observing its changing colours, light and contrasts. Technology today allows me to take pictures whenever a scene, pattern, or design grabs my attention so that I can later interpret these experiences on canvas. I want to continue to explore new techniques and learn how to enhance a feeling of natural beauty in my paintings.

Artist’s Biography

Born in Resita, Romania I always loved art, color, painting and later also photography and sculpture. I was introduced to art as a young child, first at the Fine-Art primary school with painter Petru Comisarski, then in High-school and College with painters Petru Galis and Nicolae Ungar.

I studied engineering and graduated from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, Romania with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Later in Germany and then here in Canada I worked as an engineer and software specialist. When developing software I am channeling my creativity into technology.

For me, painting is mastering the art of transformation. Light and colors can reveal mood and add life into any picture or subject.
