The Artists

In her childhood, Doina studied arts for 4 years with Octavian Olariu, renowned Montrealer sculptor that planted the seed of her passion for arts. In 2005, after studying oil painting for 2 years with Ghulam Mustafa, she has just started following her dream, by painting regularly. Painting gives her joy and it is for her a form of meditation, a look into the self.

Over the years, she has continued to perfect her techniques, taking several painting classes and participating in workshops.

She paints with oil, acrylic, ink, charcoal and mixed media, mostly abstract expressionism. Her artistic approach is a search for all manifestations of energy and love, being expressed through her dynamic, spontaneous canvases, full of color and light.

She actively exhibits in solo or group exhibitions, at Lenoir Gallery, Ambigu Gallery, Valmi Gallery, Studio 77, E.K. Voland Ar Gallery, Art Premier Gallery among others. In 2022, the number of her exhibits reached 100.

She is a member of several Art Associations. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, Europe, Sweden, India and Israel.
